that rp wishes meme pops up all the time and my mind just goes blank, so in no particular order here's a list of things i'd love to rp with the intention of having something to update as time goes on... or something like that. just wanted something to come back easily, looool.
inspired by tales from the dark multiverse: the death of superman, just... a continuation of that? something fleshing that out more? i love everything about the idea of lois just taking this real dark turn afer clark dies. the idea of clark losing touch with humanity after the death of his wife or going full on tyrant is explored quite a bit and, honestly, it never sits right with me but the idea of flipping that around?? ugh. i love it.
what's that story called, the gift? right before batman #50 where booster gives bruce his parents back and it just changes everyone's trajectory and selina is a murderous psychopath? (what is it with me wanting to write REAL BAD GIRLS post-2020?) this was something i've tried and failed to condense into a one-off thing, but i quickly realize there's a lot i'd love to explore further taking selina in this direction? i imagine this would have gone down and ended all pretty early on in her career as catwoman, so it feels really batcat heavy but i am also into seeing how it changes her relationship with various gotham city rogues? idk idk idk
way more rogue stuff but she tolerates a handful of them and only likes, like, two. i guess what i'm saying is i want to do more with the sirens but also if someone wanted to throw a croc at me that'd be totes cool because i think a lot about how he's one of the ones she actually seems to like. :')
kinda want to do a thing with yara, jon, and damian. i'mma let you do your bat-thing, tim fox, but there's something about this dynamic i really want to explore -- all of them adults, learning to work together, but also i specifically wanna see these boys imagined as their own independent characters. jon is a little clark 2.0 in future state and damian... well... ya feel me.
i wish to do more with lois and the rest of the superfam. it pisses me off how these relationships continue to go on being ignored because it's not punch comics content. i just want to see them being a family and going on adventures and shit, is that so much to ask?
similarly... god... i would love to really flesh out selina's relationship with the rest of the batfam in a way that feels realistic and natural while maintaining its comic book ridiculousness. i think most of you know, at this point, that i count selina's entire 80 year history as canon as dc seems to and yet fails to really lay out in clear terms, so there's a lot of history between selina and these characters, especially the robins. selina's known dick since he was a kid and they're not that far apart in age. during the bronze age, jason viewed her as this evil step-mom trope, like. THERE'S A LOT HERE. i'm always sad i don't get to tag with more bats and birds idk !!!
and since we're already talking about it, i'd love more selina-as-a-mentor type scenarios. i can't imagine anyone playing any of her canon sidekick-adjacent characters but this would totally work as a cross canon thing!!
i'm bummed with the direction the comics are going with my ships, would love to just ignore all that and write cute shippy shit. :'(
i think a lot about a dceu selina and i'm not really invested in the dceu, but i think a lot of the appeal there is creating a version of her that doesn't exist? (i did the same with janet before she was introduced to the mcu lolll) i keep imagining her as being very long halloween/dark victory-inspired, i love the idea of her being carmine falcone's daughter which is something i consider headcanon for my USUAL selina, i like that dceu batcat apparently have a long history. the claim was that they were married, but i never found PROOF of that after the fact. just that they were together, she left, maybe one day bruce will retire and seek her out. i just want to play every version of selina kyle and ONE DAY I WILL.
